This app is presented by Alive Sciences (at no cost) as a mobile companion to our web portal.
Healthcare professionals and qualified residents at medical facilities may use this app to record, print and/or transmit vital signs and other health-related data. No data is transmitted unless the user chooses to press the "Submit" button. Users may print or email a report of entries, however data can only be transmitted to properly credentialed medical facilities. Credentials may be entered into the apps Settings.
Data is utilized for calculation of the Rothman Index (Ri), a published standard score designed to track changes in general condition. Tracking by Ri scores is non-diagnostic and cannot substitute for normal medical attention. The main objective of Ri tracking is earlier detection of a decline. Ri systems are at many academic medical centers and being installed at regional centers. Alive Sciences was established to extend this innovative medical technology outside the hospital walls: with our web portal and this app, Ri is now available to track patients and residents of non-acute facilities.
